Stardust Hotel- Opened July 1958. Took over the Royal Nevada in 1959 and turn it into the Stardust Convention Center. Although not known for its stylish archetecture, the Stardust did change the face of the Las Vegas strip by not having a circle drive, spacious lawn or fountain. Its HUGE solar system sign was its calling card. The chip pictured here is from the first issue with aprox. 4 known. On 1/3/02 a near mint example traded on ebay for exactly $2,000. |
