Bird Cage- Opened 1958. Closed only about a year later after two consecutive $25,000 keno jackpots were hit. The club was undercapitalized and was forced to close. Some remodeling was done and the club reopened as part of The Mint. After hunderds of the $5's turned up a few years ago rumors swirled about a large number of these $25's being out there somewhere! For now only a few are known. If more where to show up, this chips HOF status would be reviewed. |
