The famous Dunes Marquee awed locals & visitors alike. Built in 1964 this running marquee of lights was the largest sign around. If you saw it you'd remember how impressive it was. This classic image can be seen on these late '70 era chips. A picture of the past that just doesn't get much better. The Marquee remained working until the Dunes was imploded in 1993. The Marquee issue remaims popular with collectors. Both of the chips pictured are quite rare. We would estimate 8-10 of the $25's known and only 4 or 5 of the $100 known. |
