Silver Slipper- Opened 1951. After a brief stint as the Golden Slipper, a name change took place to aviod a fight over the "golden" name with downtowns Golden Nugget. While staying across the street at the Desert Inn, Howard Hughes called his "people" and said he had to have the slipper. Closing in 1988 the property was turned into a parking lot for the Frontier. This second issue is a one of a kind and a true classic. The only chip known from the whole series. Its strange to have a $100 with out any known $5 or $25 |
